I was part of a team that applied for funding to establish a cognitive neuroscience research lab at StFX. We received grants from the Canadian Foundation for Innovation (CFI) and the Nova Scotia Research and Innovation Trust (NSRIT) to equip this lab with electroencephalography (EEG) technology. EEG technology is a means of recording the electrical activity of the brain using electrodes embedded in a cap. We acquired the BrainVision actiCHamp EEG recording system, which allows us to measure the brain activity associated with motor behaviour.
